Spring?

I'm not sure if it is Spring or Winter. Two weeks ago my son's class theme for the week was spring, that week it snowed about everyday. And to go along with the theme they have a class question that kids put thier name by the answer that they think is right. Well that week the question was "Is it Spring or Winter?" My son said it was a trick question!! But dispite the snow he knew it was spring. We had been watching all the robbins get their nests ready for their eggs for a few days when the weather was good. But it was very entertaining to the boys to watch out the window and see about seven robbins confused about the snow. Carter took a picture of them, but they are hard to see in the snow with the picture taken through the window.

Easter

We had great Easter!! We got to spend time with my parents a few days before, which my kids always loves. And they got their Easter early from them, which my kids call it "Bednight Stories". It is really Bedtime Stories and is a really great movie, Thanks Mom and Dad!!!

We had a Easter Egg hunt at my in-laws which they did two hunts one for the kids and one for the adults. The adults got food storage and the kids candy and toys. Thank you guys for a great time!!

The Easter Bunny did come let way too much stuff!! But all that matters is that the kids had a good time. Carter was content with his indoor basketball hoop and ball. And Kyler with Chocolate!! Most of time he didn't even wait for the wrapper to be removed.

And it always seems to snow sometime during the Easter Holiday. So we kept to the indoors. We had a great time and did enjoy a fast and testimony meeting that was centered around Chirst and the Reserection.

New Easter Baskets

I got busy this week and made my boys Easter baskets. And just in the nick of time. I had made Carter a Easter basket a few years ago with my sister and it was way cute and I ended up keeping it for myself and using it for a sewing bag, it works great. But with two boys now I need to get new ones but didn't find any at the store that I liked. So I found a pattern and went to town. Just don't look too close at the mistakes. Later I'll post these baskets in action.

Another Birthday Boy!!

I think that this Birthday lasted all week!!! We started off the week with a party at grandma and grandpa's house. Then we partied with my mom and dad and brother and his family. Then we had cake again, for the third time on his birthday. (His aunt, uncle and cousins came over) I was so sad when I didn't have my camera at the party with my parents, but everyone pulled out their camera phones!! Carter had a great idea for a cake so I went with it for the cake I made.

Our own little Romeo!!

Disclaimer: If you read this you should know that my son is very serious about this and I would hate for his feelings to get hurt if he is made fun of. We have done our best at this And I hope you would as well.

Some of you may of heard the story of my son receiving a love letter at school last fall. Totally caught him off guard and he was sooooo embarrassed. It took me hours (no lie) to convince him it wasn't the end of the world. Well yesterday he brought home his first girl's phone number (him and the girl traded numbers). Now he claims it's not for him, his father thinks other wise. Here is the story he told me: First of all I should say that he and his dad have been talking about learning to speak Spanish, my son just wants to know how and it would help his dad at work to know some, for awhile now. Anyway, he got home from school and handed me a phone number on a small piece of paper and said that this is for dad. I asked what is was and he explained that it was a girl from school's number and that he had arranged that on a day with no work or school his dad and this girl were to meet and have Spanish lessons. It took everything I had to choke back the laughing. We think that the Spanish lessons are really for him and that his dad's lessons are the cover up. He has done a complete turn around from last fall. (by the way it is not the same girl.)

Birthday

I know that I'm a little late on reporting the birthday fun, but I have just recovered! Eight boys against one me isn't very good odds. The boys had so much fun with the Iron Man theme. We even made an Iron Man movie. I would put it on here but I don't know how. I even attempted to make masks for the kids. All in all the Iron Man / Pizza party was a success. All that matters is the Birthday boy was happy!!
