On Friday we started our trip down to Blanding and while we were half way down we got a phone call from my dad that Jay got his turkey. So hunting was off for the next day, but taking care of it took all night and the rest of the next day.
Saturday after the turkey was taken care of we went hiking at spirit cave with the family (Jones). It was so much fun!! The kids had a blast. That night all the men went to the sportsman banquet and I won a dutch oven candle (my fave.), my sweet husband put me in for the drawing.
Sunday, Mother's Day, we got to see my new nephew Nick blessed, what a handsome boy!! I was so nice to spend Mother's day with my mother. Something that I rarely get to do.
Monday, I got my turkey!!
Tuesday, we got to go to farm days with my sister and her kids. And that night my brother, husband and cousin got their turkeys!! Yeah!!
Wednesday, My other brother got his turkey, it was a nice tom. And that afternoon we went down to cottonwood to join Gavin in his last field trip. The kids had so much fun catching tad poles.
Thursday, Hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's House. Grandpa is the only one left to get his turkey. He had been so busy going out of town a few times and take a class for three days. He still had a week left and came so close so many times.
Friday, Still just hanging out and hoping Grandpa gets his turkey.
Saturday was are day to head home. We did stop at the dinosaur museum in Price on the home. We thought that it would be fun to stop because our son wants to be a paleontologist when he grows up.
It was a truly fun trip and as soon as we got home we got to have even more fun puppy sitting Adam and Heather's new black lab. The boys loved it. Kyler thought it was fun to get in the dog box (even the little one that is only big enough to fit a puppy) and he wouldn't get out!!
The end of the week wouldn't be complete without my Sunday news... I got called as the primary 1st counsellor.
